On friday I get up at eight o'clock, at 8:15 I go to the bathroom and have a shower, at twenty five past eight I put my clothes on, at 8:30 I have breakfast, at nine o'clock I go to school, at 9:00 I have maths, at 11:45 I go to the playground, at 14:00 I go back home, at a quarter to five I have horse riding lessons.

- On Thursday I wake up at 8:00, I go to the bathroom and have breakfast at 8:15, at 8:25 I put my clothes on. I go to school at 9:15, at 14:00 I go home, at 18:00 I go to the sports center and I start my football training. The last thing I do is watching T.V., finally I go to bed.

I usually get up at half past seven. I have a glass of milkand marmelade for breakfast at eight o'clock. I brush my teeth, prepare my bag and go to school with my twin brother. I meet my friends and talk. After, I have lessons. I usually have Greek language and maths. At breaks we play "hide and seek". I go home and relax at half past one. I have spaghetti for lunch at two o'clock. I do my homework at half past five.I help my mother with the housework. I sometimes put dishes in the dish washer. I have light food for dinner. I go to bed at ten o'clock.

On Mondays I have two things to do. First, I go to my English school and second, I go to my violin lesson.

On Tuesdays I only go to school.

On Wednesdays I go to school and I go English.

On Thursdays I only go to school.

On Fridays I go to school, I go to the English school and I go to the theatre club.

On Saturdays I do the half of my homework and I go for history, theory, harmony and solfege at the music school.

On Sundays I do the other homework, I play the violin and I play with the laptop.

Peace for all the world!

In Greece we have got peace but in other countries there isn’t peace. They have got war. If there is peace, there are people. In this way people can be happy and they can go to their jobs. Children can play with their friends. People live in harmony together.

In war, people are scared and sad. They lose their houses and their belongings. In war many people get killed. Friends fight and become enemies. Also the country gets destroyed. Children are very hungry and have to take guns too. We love peace but we don’t love war.

There is war in many countries. Army comes from the attackers’ country to the other. They come with guns, tanks and bombs. Now they build nuclear bombs. In

there has been the explosion of two nuclear bombs. Many people are hungry and scared. People go to war because they are sad. And the children are sad. Some of the children go to war. The rules say that children must go to school, play and they must not go to war. War is horrible. In the

vs Iraq war many people were killed and injured. If there is war everywhere, there will be poor people.
Peace is better than war. People are not hungry, there is food. There are also flowers and houses. Children can play. People can eat, can drink and play. For example, in Africa they have war. If they make peace, people in these countries will be happy. Peace wins the war. Children won’t be sad and scared, they will be happy. They can have fun, they can go to school. So, choose peace and be happy.

Peace

I like peace, because people are happy and they play, travel, laugh, have fun. They have their freedom. People have got clothes, home, friends. The symbols of peace are flowers, pigeon, olive tree.

War

I don’t like war, because people are sad and unhappy. They cry, kill other people and they are dirty, hungry, tired and poor. People kill with tanks, bombs and weapons. In the towns panic, fear and terror predominates.

We hate ‘war’, ‘death’ and ‘destruction’. We love ‘peace’, ‘health’, ‘calmness’ and ‘freedom’! I hope all the people in the world to be healthy and happy!

TEACHER'S DAY

This year on the 30th of january we also celebrate the teacher's day. Normally we celebrate this day on the 27th of november, we celebrate the festivity of Saint Thomas. This day teachers invite the pupils and families to have a hot chocolate and biscuits. Everybody has a fantastic day.

THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE AND NO VIOLENCE

The 30th of january we celebrate the international day of peace. This day is the day when Ghandi died. It's very important day in the world, and it's a very beutiful day in our school, we sing songs and dance in the playground. In this day everybody try to be nice with other people. The symbol of the day it's the "dove of peace". In our school we decorate the walls with big pictures with messages of peace. The big pictures are normally made by the youngest students. When we go out to the playground, we put the pictures on the sportscentre windows and everybody see them.
This year we have made another activity: at eleven o'clock we have gone to the preschool classes to help the children to inflate balloons, and we put into them messages of peace, later on we all meet at the playground, teachers, students and parents carry a balloon each, everybody sits on the balloon and brakes it, then people read the messages and everybody sing a song all togheter.

. Ptolemaida has got 50.000 people. Ptolemaida has got many shops, churches, parks, schools. There are big and small shops. They sell clothes, sweets, shoes, furniture. Our churches are orthodox. Churches have got chairs, beautiful windows and pictures of saints. Ptolemaida has got many parks. You can find trees there. There are swings everywhere. There is an electric plant in Ptolemaida. It is a big factory which produces electricity. Our city is beautiful, but it has got many cars, blocks of flats and factories.

Our School

Our school is in Ptolemaida at Nosokomeiou Street. It is the 10^th Primary School of Ptolemaida, but we share the same building with the 4^th Primary School. The yard is big and nice. At the break, children buy food from the canteen. Some children go to the football court and play football, sometimes with plastic bottles. At the hour of gymnastics, classes of the 4^th and 10^th Primary school go to the gym to play games or to train. In the computer room there is a headlight and many computers. The library is next to the main entrance and near the recycling bucket of batteries. There are a lot of books and stories, board games and dictionaries. The headmaster’s office of the 10^th school is between the 3^rd and the 6^th grade. The fifth grade (our class) is opposite the main entrance. Our school is very big; it has got 18 classes and 24 teachers.

and a world map). We’ve got a TV and a video and a DVD. The pupils in our classroom are eighteen. There are ten desks. We’ve got a notice board. We’ve got a desk with a computer. We’ve got a teacher’s desk and every Christmas we decorate a Christmas tree. Our class is beautiful.

OUR SCHOOL

Our school is big and new, although this is not really our school, because our school is not finished yet. We are waiting to move to a new building suddenly. Now we are sharing classes with the oldest students in the hight school building. Our new school is green, yellow and blue. In this new school we are going to have a big playground, a big cantine, and a sport center. We like going to school because we have fun there, we've got a theatre group and a choir, our theatre plays are in English. We have a good relationship. we like our teachers because they always help us and when we have a problem they listen to us.

This year we are in two classes 6º A and 6º B, We are 36 students, 18 in each class. Our classes are very big and warm, because it is very cold in our village during the winter. Our class have pictures, a computer, many desks and chairs. Our classes are yellow, orange and blue. At the moment we don't have internet conection because we are located in the secondary school building, the reason is that at the beginning of the course we didn't have enought classes. In each class we have a witch, one is called Kate and the other one is Sabrina.

We Study different subjects: English, Maths, Physical Education, Spanish Language, Art, Science and Music.

MY VILLAGE "ROBLEDO DE CHAVELA"

Our village is called Robledo de Chavela, it's placed on the south west of the comunity of Madrid.

In Robledo there are many important monuments:

1.- The town hall, the old town hall was built in 1847 and the prision and the school were located in it.

2.- The church. it's 500 years old, it was built in the fifteenth century.

3.- A dam, it's placed on the west of Robledo, it's very beautiful and impressive.

4.- There are three hermitages, the most important are: Saint Anthony (San Antonio) and Navahonda this one was built in the XVI Century.

5.- The park called "Las Cruces" this park is placed outside Robledo. There are about ten crosses in it. They were built in 1779, each cross is 2'15 meters tall. Near this park is the football stadium.

6.- There is also a big building wich includes a sport center, a library, some classrooms and an exhibition hall this building is next to the school.

Hello new friends!

We're from Greece. We live in Ptolemaida. Our school is the 10th primary school of Ptolemaida. We're 18 students in class E. It's the third year we have English and we like it a lot!

We're very happy with the project! Our first articles are ready and we're looking forward to publishing them after our Christmas holidays. We talked about the name of our e-journal and we can't wait to work with you and meet you!
